Natural horsehair from the mane of the horse. It tends to be finer than tail and is used in a variety of ways. Often twisted into Mecates (used as rein on horses) or used to make cinchas to hold the saddle on the horse. A very traditional use.
It works very well for tassels, pottery, sporrans, Roman Helmets, British Palace Guards, in the high fashion world of clothing and furniture. Colors can vary from written and pictured description at times.
It is blunt cut at both ends and is between 6" to 12" in length. Picture from left to right-- white-light mixed-dark mix-med sorrel mix-brown- and black.
